What are you talking about? I've spent about 30% of my tour days at home. Still getting 100% pay. Still getting the full 401K match. Full benefits. Haven't had to drive because of reduced basing. And so on and so forth. And it's all been paid right on schedule, no promises to pay part of it later.
Look, I really don't care about getting into one of those 'My company is better than yours!' urinating matches. If people are happy where they are, no matter the company, then that's the most important thing. I only comment on this stuff when false information is being spread. We have taken no pay cuts. We've furloughed no one in the US. None of our fleet has been parked and mothballed. And yes, we do lose some clients to competitors, but also see a fair number of boomerang clients (they come back after leaving) as well as simply getting new clients from competitors. For obvious reasons are new aircraft deliveries have been reduced this year, but we're still taking a fair amount of them. And no, we didn't take a penny of taxpayer money to make it all work. This isn't bragging, just putting the facts out there on what's going on.
Deep breaths everyone. Things are picking up and barring any unforeseen bumps in the road we're all going to be okay. Be happy we're not in the bottom 5000 of any airline seniority list. It could be worse for us.

Well said.

You’re off by about 50-80% on your airline seniority list number, but it will be ugliest at carriers with considerable international exposure while ultra high end private travel and budget carriers will be somewhat sheltered due to the nature of their products and or clientele.

If you're called out on a trip for 10 days, you're automatically paid for 15 days, plus overtime, bonuses, and incentives.

In the wrong direction supposing his 5000 number means furloughs. Delta looks to be the worst off, and they’re looking at 2500 furloughs. Naturally, there’s a ton of displacements, downgrades, base changes and so on being driven above that number too. And that may be what he was referring to.

Anybody know why so many of FlexJet’s planes are unencumbered (no owners)? Are owners bailing out? According to public info the following tails have no owners..

You misunderstand. He is referring to Netjets $118 per hour that they pay each pilot for each hour or portion thereof that they fly over 12.1 hours in a rotation. For example, two pilots on a 7 day rotation fly 25.1 hours. They get their respective daily rates and hourly overtime pay for hours worked over 12 in a day, PLUS EACH PILOT is paid 13x$118=$1534 in addition (25.1-12.1=13). That additional incentive pay is exclusive to Netjets and one of the biggest reasons why they are far and away the leaders in income on our side of aviation.
