"...going back to the airlines" as opposed to "...going to the airlines."? Many of those 91/135 pilots will leave at the first chance as well, though some will also stay.
Every pilot will say what they think you want to hear at the interview. If pilots have a reason to stay they will stay. If they perceive reasons to leave they will leave.

Yes. First, this individual is already in process of being invited to interview. NJA has not rescinded invites for those in process, only delayed them.
Second, plenty of our new hires have 121 experience. NJA knows these pilots have a better chance at making it through training than those with mom and pop 91 or 135 carriers that have varying degrees of training intensity, standardization, and expectations. Our training pass and failure statistics cannot be ignored.
Sometimes when a question is posed to people on property, it is best when people on property provide an answer instead of people who have been gone longer than they were on property.

I currently live in base with a legacy so coming here, while a difficult decision, was an easier choice. 2-3 years from now if I'm recalled I will probably be living in a location that would force a commute for the last 5 years of my career. Different math.

There’s a reason we called it the ‘airline stink’ in my 135 days!

I understand - I didn’t say all of them would, just most, and I think that’s true. It’s not a knock on NetJets - it’s just there’s a reason airline pilots are airline pilots, and a furlough generally doesn’t change that.

NetJets has advantages over the airlines for some people. Those who have seen both sides of the fence may find the "greenness" of the 121 world to have turned a little brown when their recall comes up depending on their situation.

To answer your final statement, if you want those on property to field questions, then answer them honestly and realistically. They were scoffing at hiring prior 121 pilots when I worked at NJA. You think NJA is going to hire currently furloughed airline pilots when they might hire 100 this year total? Get real.

I never said they rescinded interview invites. I said that in the not so distant past, those with airline backgrounds have been scrutinized because a measurable percentage of those with prior 121 time, went back to 121, and that furloughed airline pilots would have a really hard chance at getting hired given the small amount that NJA is hiring. That is an undeniable fact.

Let me help you out. Commuting to sit reserve on an NB versus being home-based.

I am at a legacy. Going to the legacy was an easier decision at the time as I knew I would live in base.
I am looking at being furloughed from a legacy.
By the time I am recalled, I probably won't live in the legacy base and would have to commute to sitting reserve if I went back.
So in 2+ years when recalled I might stay wherever I am if it's a good place with home basing.
