Default Intra-European Routes Fractionals

Just curious how often the fractional guys fly intra-European routes? For example, do the N- numbered aircraft guys at NJA or LXJ ever get the opportunity to go into some of the cool European airports such as Innsbruck, Sion, etc.? Or is this solely regulated to NJA Europe and the likes? Looking at Flightaware, I hardly ever see any intl. flights on both NJA & LXJ, barring the Caribbean/Mexico.

NetJets Europe does the majority of those flights for NetJets in Europe , but NJA does get some. This year has been few and far between for NJA internationally so watching on FlightAware isn't going to be a good representation during Corona times. During normal times it is fairly common to take passengers from somewhere in the US to somewhere in Europe and then ferry to another location in Europe to pick up others to take back to the US. It isn't so common to fly passengers from country to country within Europe unless you are bringing the same passengers from place to place. Even that has limits to avoid cabotage. It also depends on what fleet you are in. The Globals and 650s are going to have a harder time getting into some smaller airports while the 350s can get in almost anywhere. They just don't get across the pond nearly as much. NJE has most sizes of airplanes and can operate all over Europe without running into cabotage issues so they do the bulk of it.

Thanks for the reply! That makes sense. Admittedly, I didn’t even think of the cabotage issue. Just more curious about if the opportunity arises often for flights into some cool overseas airports.

Regards,
Rob

Many of these operators operate straight into these said destinations.
LXJ does have the intra-Europe piece as well.

Look for the bigger Gulfstreams and Globals for these companies and you’ll see quite a bit of ops into these “preffered” destinations.
Now...FlightAware won’t always pick up some of the legs when OCONUS. If you look at a particular tail number, you may see a leg from OMDB-EGWW, but not be able to see how it got from LFPB to OMDB.

Thank you for the information.
