Flights seem to be booked and scheduled on top of each other regularly, not just during the busy seasons. One said they regularly receive trip sheets with 5 or 0 minute turns in between legs when they fly in the vacuum.
I'm not going to try and defend Tradewind, but they do run a different business model. They are a hybrid of fixed schedule and on demand charter. I've worked that side of the business and it is dicey. You can get worn out quickly.

Ahh yes, hotel reserve. I personally prefer home standby. I wasn't used for an entire cycle in the winter once and it was the greatest work week ever. I would be pretty stoked if I could do that all the time and call it a career. I think I still flew 40 odd hours that month.
Sure there are some issues right now with instructors. They'll make some new ones and it will resolve itself. But the company does recognize the challenges with attrition and is attempting to make changes that will encourage folks to stay. Revisit this thread in 18 months to see how it plays out.
