So much negativity here. Anyone stopped to think about the fact that the company has been around nearly 25 years and for a fractional operator to say that is an achievement? No.. by all means though its easier to spread false information and postulate about matters when one posses maybe 1/3 of loosely based information gleaned off of conversations heard in passing and cockpit banter. I am not a koolaide drinker as some will say, I keep my options open, but give the company a chance. Growing pains on top of arguably the biggest hiring spree in aviation history are a perfect storm right now, but the company will weather it.

V293, pilots gonna hate hate hate, but you just gotta shake it off, shake it off.
Well said though. The company will make changes as the industry changes, and ultimately there is plenty of consumer demand for the product.

There is a lot of negativity here, but as someone who will be a new hire in October I'm just trying to figure out if it will be worth the wait or should I just skip it and go the instructor route to avoid living on $30k flying <50 hrs a month.

Not only that, but you'll probably see more than 50 hours a month. In 3 days i've already flown over 15 hours. If I keep at that pace, i'll probably have over 50 hours at the end of may. Even if I don't, youll be hard pressed to find a flight school where youll make 50 hours a month, and youll bust your ass and risk life and limb on the daily. Yes, you can find a flight school where youll fly 80-100 hours a month. I worked at one. But I promise you its not worth it.
Also, I had 5 legs today. Started my day pretty early. Around 12 hours from door to door. Long day. But not once did I ever say "Ugh I really wish this was over". Thats a regular thing as an instructor.
Yes. It's flying day 3 for me. So maybe by my 6th day flying i'll have had enough and just want to be done. But this is a REALLY cool job at a REALLY cool company, who despite what you may hear from bitter ex-employees, actually does care about their pilots.

Is it worth that wait? Depends on your goals and whether you like instructing.
You could always do both. We have plenty of pilots who instruct on their off days. It is generally cleared with the chief pilot's office as long you don't exceed 135 monthly maximums.

Absolutely stick it out. I'm at the end of day 3 of my first cycle on the line and I can tell you, being instructor is not really being a pilot. I instructed for a year and a half and not once did I feel as great as I did over these last few days already. This is what being a pilot is all about. And I can promise you, instructing will suck the fun out of it real fast.

There is no rush. The good thing you have on your side is time. I finished my training this past Friday and it feels great to be through. Although it is just the beginning, there is still a lot to learn.
