New to the forum. I have a class date of August 29th. Does anyone know the other class dates between now and then? When I corresponded with them they said there's a possibility people would drop out in an earlier class, and they'd call up people to come earlier. I'd like to know so I can keep a lookout on my schedule and try to keep my current boss up to date on possibilites.

I was Chronos 626 this past week. Started on Wednesday though (captain started Tuesday). So from Wednesday until today (Tuesday) was all the flights we did. Only thing missing was our 2 hour taxi at Dulles during ground delays for "level 6" thunderstorms approaching/on the field. Ended in us timing out and having to go back to the gate. Overall it really wasn't a bad week. The better you and your captain get along, the more fun it is.

So that's about 23 hours of flight time for the week. Pretty good. Is that about average for a week? You can build a lot of time quickly like that. Seems as if all that variation keeps you from getting too bored as opposed to a place like Boutique where you fly the same few routes over and over?

I haven't totaled my times for the week yet, but 23 seems about right. I got 28 last cycle. And consider this isn't the summer rush yet. Im certainly not complaining with over 50 hours a month. And likely to see more coming soon here.

Just call and ask or shoot them an email. They'll be happy to tell you. Plus itll show interest and they'll likely call you first if something opens up and they know youre interested. Because otherwise they just run down the list and see who'll say yes first.

It's hard to say what the average is as it can vary greatly. but there will be flying, and the more you do the more you get as you get off IOE, then transition to the legacy, and then hopefully upgrade. As a captain on both models, there's always flying to do, and I'm always happy to do it. it's why we're in this business, right?
