Just curious what cell phone provider people use with flying international. My current provider doesn't allow roaming internationally so I need to find a new provider that is good internationally.

Try T-Mobile. Free international data.

It's only required if you want it. I've flown with captains here that have a flip phone.

Probably late fall. Then expect it to live in the hangar 80% of the time

I'm sure it will be, when it isn't down for maintenance.

I know this has been covered before, but can some of you guys currently flying expound on how many hours you're getting per month and how long it takes to get from beginning of training to working a full cycle? I have an invitation to training but I'm still torn between doing this and instructing.

What's your end goal?

I flew about 60 hours last month in 75 legs. Some months it's been as low as 30. IOE was pretty backed up for awhile, one of the more recent new hires could give you a better idea but I was doing normal cycles about 2 months after I finished the sims.

As of today I'd like to get to the airlines as fast as possible. Of course this could change with the industry being as fickle as it can be at times. Flying the PC12 sounds fun and it would be a good first experience working as a crew, but instructing sounds tempting if I could average ~80 hours a month at a busy flight school.
