Do any current PS pilots have any ideas about when summer class dates would likely be based on history? I was offered a date for February and had to turn it down as I'm still in school, so I'm on the list for whatever the first class is after May. I already bothered HR with the question about a month and a half after the offer.

Also, I'm sitting around 1100 hours now and will be in the ballpark of 1300 when I graduate. If summer classes don't happen until August or July I may have closer to 1400-1450. What would the transition to CA look like entering as an FO with those times?

Direct entry is 2000 I believe. If you come in as an FO, I would probably guess around the 3 to 6 month mark as you'll need the 1500 for 135 PIC mins. Safely, I would say 6 months. Could be as quick as 3. Maybe more. There are several things you'll need to do before you're put in a class; Eval's and such. You could do it though. It takes a decent amount of time to learn the company and the ways it works and getting used to the way things are done. IOE will take some time and then getting you on line. The flying is relatively straight forward. I would however recommend going through winter months or upgrading during the winter months because of the cold weather ops. Depending on where you're from and your level of cold weather experience. They recently held an upgrade due to lack of winter experience.

As far as class dates, HR has nothing to do with that. That comes from training. They give them the class dates up to a certain point and they fill them. I would send an email to your contact in HR and ask to be forwarded to the training department. I'd post an email here but I don't think thats quite right. Sorry.

I suppose I would need both 1200 with the night and XC and instrument for the Cobalt flights and 1500 for the 91K flights as PIC.

That's correct, however you still need the 1500 for 91K, and 1200 for 135. Regardless of the fact, you need 1500 to upgrade here.

I read on another site a PS guy said he was so exhausted after his 8 days on, he used his 6 days off to recover. Opinions as to how accurate that is, or how hard you're working would be appreciated.
