Again, as I've said multiple times before, I don't work for PS, I just think anyone who flies a PC12 is awesome.

TFFJ. We go there multiple times a day. That comment wasn't Planesense specific, it was just to show that PC12 experience is pretty awesome and you'll learn useful skills you will never get when sitting standby at FBO for a 135 jet charter.

The other thing to consider, especially at 750 hours, is how quickly you can build that time. Get stuck in a crappy charter company and you build all 20 hours of that elusive multi turbine SIC time a month.
Who cares if you make $50k instead of $45k when elsewhere you get to your destination (if 1500 is the target) 5 times faster.

Recent anecdotal experience would dictate otherwise. I could see that being true a few years ago but it’s a different hiring environment. You certainly need multi engine time to get a decent job, but it is not the discriminator it once was. A recent employee who left PS got calls from SWA and JBU within months of getting a jet type rating. Probably less than 300 hrs multi, but a crap ton of PC-12 PIC time.

I know there’s a lot of debate on this forum and some funny shinanigens as well, so I thought I’d add my experience and actual facts to the forum to help anyone out.
The TPIC was valuable in my case. I am at SW now and the interviewers were more than happy to accept it and asked if the PC12 was as fun as it looks, and of course it is.
I left 2 years ago and my resume also had instructor and checkairman on it from Planesense. I don’t want to speak for attrition or anything going on now as I am not there, but the company gave me some great opportunities that played a major role in my career.
The training department was great as well, a great group up there. Sup guy? 😝
I didn’t go straight from PSI to a major but I give my time at PSI a lot of credit. Hope that helps anyone younger trying to navigate this great time in the industry.

The PSI alumnus are not doing too bad despite spending so much time in a single engine holding pattern of a career. 🤟

Our TW guys are getting hired at the majors nicely as well. Turbine PIC is the key. Sitting standby at FBO is time wasted.
