NetJets Intl Interview

Any gouge on NetJets International interview? Everything I've read is a little dated...but all indicated it was a pretty straight forward interview (non-technical questions only).

Got the call today for an interview next week.

Thanks in advance for any info.

You must have a lot of Gulfstream time or some great contacts there.

Good luck!

Nope. But interview was straightforward. 2 hours of company overview followed by individual session of 30 minutes with panel of management, HR, chief pilot types..."why NJI?", "why not airlines?","when can you start?", etc. They make you feel very comfortable, overall very positive experience.

Class start on 10 Sep!

Stewy, congrats on getting hired!

Was wondering what you have heard concerning NJI's hiring. I've got a few buds flying the line at NJI, and none of them have been able to figure out what mgt is doing regarding hiring. I've had my app in since January. It seems like getting called for an interview a hit or miss proposition. Just updated it again a couple of days ago.

Any updates would be much appreciated.

SAM--

Thanks. Was actually surprised to get the call as I had a bud at NJI tell me Chief Pilot had said no more interviews until Nov. No #'s on potential hires came up during the pilot screening, but there are 6 of us in this class.

FWITW, I had my resume in since Nov but had not updated in a couple months. Good luck.

We may know each other...did you type at FTI in May?

Sure did...is that you Mike?

What aircraft are newhires assigned? GIVSP, G450/G550? Did they give you any indication on what you would get and what the progression be? Do GIVSP FOs generally flow to the G450/G550 as FOs after a few years? What about estimates for PIC upgrades? And yes, I am aware of the NJA integration issues....

I always thought NJI would be a great place to work - very nice airplanes, great variety, etc.

Stew might have more info, but from what I've heard from several friends who work there is that new hires start in GIVSP regardless of previous types. At about the 2 year point you would get the opportunity to upgrade to GV, then later on the 450/550.

A lot of guys pass on the GV, because it just means 11 hours flying instead of 7-8 hours--and both jets go to all the same places. Pay does not change, and you will end up coming back to the GIVSP when it's time to upgrade to captain.

Can you or anyone guess how the NJA integration will throw a monkey wrench into the upgrade times or career progression at NJI? Clearly it is an unknown at this point and I'd be curious to hear what they say/estimate...

Any idea how many newhires (non-NJA transfers) are expected through the end of 2007?
