FlightOptions?

I talked to a FlightOptions captain the other day and he sounded very enthusiastic about the company. I've read quite a few random comments indicating the opposite. Anyone have any ideas?

He must be a positive thinker. For the last two years I've been hearing nothing but bad things about Options.

Flight Ops to sell aircraft!

Heard a rumor that Flt Ops was going to sell all their aircraft and get into the Aircraft Management side of the business. Heard they met with another management operator to see how the business ran since they have no idea about that side of the ship. Very reliable source. Just wondering if anyone else can confirm or deny?

Boy, how things come full circle. Options was originally started by a management company. Throughout the evolution, apparently no one from the original management company is there anymore.
Now they want to become a management company and don't know how? Interesting turn of events.

I clicked on this forum to ask the same question as the original poster. I was interested because apparently Flight Options is now accepting resumes from folks with 1500TT, 300ME, 100 Turbine... much lower mins than any other fractional right? (And mins that I happen to meet.)

But after reading the responses, I'll stick with going to Skywest. (Not that it would have been easy to change my mind.)

I wouldn't necessarily rule it out as a low-timer entry level gig. Get in, get a type or two, build some time, then get the hell out. Just understand that it doesn't sound like the career position that it once promised to be. It's the higher seniority, higher experienced guys that are probably getting pretty frustrated and disillusioned with the outfit, having gone in hoping it would be a career deal.

Try Skywest first, but if you tank the interview, you'll have a back-up plan.
