? for CS Pilots
#3
From a relatively new pilot's point of view, I think they are moving in the right direction. I think for the most part, they are going to be getting us home earlier on day 7 and going to try to position the aircraft as much as possible at or near the pilot bases to avoid airlining people. Plus the overtime starting at midnight now versus 3AM will be great.
IMHO.

They are also shortening the duty day to 8 hours max if we start before 4am and increasing the minimum required rest period after that day to 16 hours. The overtime on day 7 will also be paid if our day (including travel time) exceeds 16 hours. Definately a step in the right direction.

You might want to check out NetJets, 100 bases and 1st yr FO 7 and 7 base pay will be about $16,000. more than CS 1st yr FO base pay if the IBB passes next month.

A new contract for Netjets could only help CS pilots... You guys should be rooting for the new Netjets contract terms because CS will have to bolster your pay/benefits to prevent and exodus to Netjets and to attract quality pilots. It's a winning proposition for you guys too by default......... Fingers crossed!

Here is Mr. Buffet giving his criteria for selling a buisness. Around the 9 min. mark.

IMO, trying to strategies against Mr. Buffet may not be a good idea.
Most every fractional pilot that has time with company is making a 6 figure salary working less than 180 days per year. At some point as a group we need to be content.
