Indoc will be in CMH. Depending on your aircraft you can be all over the country. Also your first flight in your plane will be in CMH.

I would suggest getting you application in ASAP since the longer you wait, the longer you will wait to get hired and the longer you give more pilots with better experience time to get their resumes in before you.
I sent my resume in back in august, got an application packet in the mail 2 weeks later. had to leave town for a death in the family for about 4 weeks, got home and took a week to get the packet all filled oiut. Sent it in almost 3 weeks ago now. How long til I might hear about an interview??

Hi!

You will probably hear in a week or two that, either, they don't want you now, or you are in the interview pool.

Once in the interview pool, the average wait is about 3 months. I would guess probably 5 now, since it's over XMas and I'm sure tons of guys are applying with the IBB looking like it's going through.

Before, some guys were getting an interview in a month or so, most were 3 months or so, and some were up to 6 months. Some of it depended on the base(s) you put down.

Good luck!

Cliff,

First, thanks to you and all the others for the info. I was wondering, since the IBB would be in effect by the time any of us new applicants qualified, is the idea of the "base sheet" kinda obsolete? I will request IAD or any other Washington DC area airport when given the chance, but should I say "any" for now, since it really should not matter? Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

When you fill out the App put ANY (meaning ALL) down on your App so you look more flexible, so when or if this IBB passes it will be obsolete. If this IBB does not pass at least you get the interview and then you can choose your base. Just my thoughts

if the ibb does pass do you just get to pick one of the 100 bases and you automatically get it or do you tell them your preference and they can still put you where they need you. basically if i want to work in the new york area will i get it or is there the possibility of not.

My understanding is if the IBB passes you will get to choose your crew base. And if you dont like it you can move every 30 days. I don't think that they will be assigned to the crew member. Pretty Sweet

Curious:

If anyone knows if Phoenix or Tucson will be one of the 100 cities if the new IBB passes?

I am sure LA, Chicago, NY area are on the list.
