How long for Net Jets

It's been 10 months since I got the "acepted" e-mail after sending in my application packet. I live in South Florida and wanted the PBI base. Can anyone tell me if the turnover there very slow, or do I not know how to take a hint?

Its gonna get more difficult to get the call from Netjets, specially if this new TA passes. NJ will be one of the top 5 pilot jobs in the U.S, so more people will apply. All you can do at this point is be patient, and wait for the call.

As far as the turnover, yeap, its VERY slow, sometimes I feel like there is no turnover at all. My best friend works for the regionals, he's sick of that *******. He wants to come over, but he can't. Its been almost a year for him, NJ hasn't called. I adviced him to look at FlexJet, and CS.

Good luck man

Keep the faith. If you got the "App accepted" e-mail then you are in the interview pool. Now, it's anybody's guess when you will actually get the call but it should come at some point. Hiring is pretty much done for this year so I don't think anyone is getting interview calls at the moment.

As UCLA mentioned keep you apps updated at the other fractionals as well.

Good luck!

I can't speak for the hiring folks, but I wouldn't expect a call that far out. I looked on the NetJets careers web page and didn't see a limit on how long your app is kept on file. Is it on the app or the other paperwork you have from them? If it's not, I can e-mail Derinda and find out. Once you get the interview, though, you can count on getting hired unless you show up and give them a reason not to.

One thing all NJA applicants should remember: The easiest way to keep from getting an interview is to limit yourself on the domicile preference sheet. I don't know how you marked yours, but if you marked only PBI and they weren't looking to hire into PBI in the timeframe when your app came back in, it probably started gathering dust at that time. If want to work for the company, tell them you will take any domicile they will offer. Even if the new contract changes don't get voted in, you can change domiciles fairly quickly - maybe even before you get done with all your training. They weren't offering my first or second choice of locations when I got called for an interview, or even during the interview, but lo and behold, when the job offer came it was for my first choice of plane and location!

Turnover, as in people retiring or quitting, is low. I've moved up about 120 spots on the seniority list in 14 months, and I now have about 320 behind me. I hear the 350-400 new hires per year number still being used, but I can't vouch for it. Also, if they meet their quota for the year before year's end, they may slow down or stop interviewing for a little while at the end of the year.

Good Luck,

Correct.

If I were to turn back the clock three years, I would apply at NJ, CS and FlexJet again. My first choice would be NJ, but CS and FJ would make a excellent plan B.

Hey NTFB,
thanks for a great reply. I just sent mine last week, airline guy here too.
So I am just waiting now. It is frustating the waiting because once we set our mines in something, the waiting is painfull,,,lol,,,,mainly I just want out of 121 and back to that flying that I once enjoyed. (C560 guy here )

I e-mailed our crew recruiter this morning and she said NJA apps don't expire. They stay on file until an interview is offered and are only removed if the applicant requests it or they decline an interview when offered.

I learned something myself!

NTFB,
Thanks for the information. I'll just update my info from time to time and see what happens. By the way, I didn't only list PBI, but since I live here it only makes sense. If I agreed to another domicile and hoped PBI came availible, I think it would bother me to much anyway. NJ probably figured that out from my application.

got the packet today....how long until they send out the email?

Also, what airplanes are more likely to be assigned at TEB?

Once they receive it, it usually takes at least a couple of weeks to hear anything back.

As far as your second question, only the folks in crew recruiting would know, and they don't tell you until they get you in the conference room with all the other candidates on interview day. Even then, it can change between interview day and when they offer you a job. None of the three plane/base combinations I was offered to choose from were on the board on interview day.
