Part 135 Gulfstream Operations
#2
Getting a G-V job without any G-V experience and no type-rating its going to be a challenge, and if you have little or no Int'l experience, then forget about it. Flight departments usually want to see at least 300 hours in the damn thing, and a few pond-crossings.
Look at Executive Jet Management. They are about to grow like crazy, and will be doing lots of hiring. I remember looking at their mins about two years ago, it said "The ideal candidate will have a type rating and 500 hrs for PIC/300 hrs for F/O". It didn't say required. That's one option. Another option is to aim lower, get a Hawker 800 or Xcel job with a flight department that operates G-IVs & G-Vs. let the seniority build up a little, then ask them for a Gulfstream position. They'll buy the type for you.
