Flight Options orders 100 Embraer Jets.

The order is worth 746 million USD. Are things about to turn around at Flight Options???? Hard to believe from the things I've been hearing....

No kidding, everything posted on here is dismal for FO. I see that they are hiring, but the pay is pretty low. Maybe the new contract will help turn things around on the pilot's end.

So if it is low pay, do they have low minimums?

For a fractional, yes.

When I did the FBO thing in college, I met very few happy pilots from Flight Options. At the time they were reducing types in the fleet and were expected to furlough. I have a feeling that due to high attrition they are now in the opposite situation. A lot of the pilots were displaced from the majors, and many said they were bailing at the first chance they had.

Anyone have a link to the story? Which Embrear jets - the Phenom 100/300 or additional Legacys? When would they be expected?

threegreen 12-03-2007 09:22 PM

I believe it is the Phenom300

I talked to a few on the ramp the other day, I guess a new TA is in the works with a pay increase, said to be some but not as much as NJ. Thats the positive, the negative, The Options pilot I spoke with had an NJ interview the next week.

I think Embraer needed to break into the US fractional industry. Flt. Ops might have been their only chance.
