NetJets TA Passes!

Is this the end of the weaker fractionals? Will they be able to compete? How about the effect on the majors? Who is going to want to work for them when the pay and quality of life is so much better now at NetJets?
The ante has been upped and it is just a matter of time before some of these guys will sink or swim. It is going to be very interesting watching this the next couple years. Congratulations NetJets, you are kicking ass and taking names!

Ahh, now the real wait and see game begins..... let's see if those other "weak" fractionals really do step up to compete with NJA. During the vote there were many an expert giving exact salary figures and dates of raises (especially for CS).... and nothing has come to fruition yet. Will be interesting over the next couple months to read all the predictions.

Hi!
USA Jet had a new pay plan that was going to be phased in over 3 years. It went about 1 1/2, and then stalled out. We never did get the plan fully instituted.
It's kind of like how NJA got the new IBB approved, and less than 12 hours later got their pay increased, but different.

Many young guys will choose a major inmediately. Many young pilots in their 20s and maybe even in their early 30s don't care about QOL, pay or stability; all they want to do is fly a "BIG" plane, preferibly a 777 or 747. I've seen it over and over. Sad but true.

Yes sir. Go to any flight school, pick anyone and ask him if he would like to fly a jet for free. 9 out 10 will jump at the chance. We (pilots) are our own worst enemy.
