Flops

FLOPS no longer hiring according to their webpage... probably something to do with the complete buyout...

Is FLOPS on the ropes?

ERJ135 12-29-2005 04:13 PM

Flight Options?

Bengalsfan 12-30-2005 09:47 AM

yep

yeah its flight options and with Raytheon buying out complete ownership, there are rumors that they bought full control so they could either try to sell it off, or just simply close it down... like I said those are the rumors I've heard on other forums, so just trying to see if anyone knows for real.

I have heard the sme thing and actually asked flight options guys that come into my airport and they said they are down sizing from 13 types of A/C to 4 types. They are going to have the Legacy, CJX, Hawker 800 and 400. Downsizing could be signs of things to come for that company.

They are simplifying their fleet. It will save the company money by only having four types of aircraft. Whether or not the company is doing well I have not idea.

There is quite a bit of redundancy at the smaller end with the Citations IIs, CJs, and Kingairs. The Beechjet (or Hawker, or whatever warmed-over name Raytheon is now giving it) can fill out these missions pretty easily. The Citation IIIs are about the same size as the Hawker 800 and they only had one or two 601s to begin with.
