Netjets International Numbers

Any body out there that may know if and when NJI is going to start up the interview mill this year and numbers they may take on? Also do you need a GIV type to get the call?

Thanks a Metric Ton.:)

Word is that only those already in the pool will be getting the calls for interview this year and as of late November of '08 all new pilots will come from NJA (already half of the newhires are from NJA). Some have gotten hired without the type and most, if not all, have had great internal reccomendations to get in. Your best bet is to apply to NJA if you want to fly the Gulfstreams that NJI operates.

Are they still hiring?? I was under the impression that they were done hiring. I read they have one more interview-class, prety small group and that's all she wrote.

Since the TA passed, I believe they've been vectoring all applicants to the NetJets VOR, but I could be wrong..

And prepare to copy holding instructions.....

There will be some positions filled "off the street" in 2008 but those people have either already had an interview and are waiting for a class date or have serious inside juice and will be in the one or possibly two remaining interview groups. Then, come November, all new positions at NJI will be filled by NJA 1108 pilots that meet the requirements (5000TT and two years with NJA), bid the position, and receive the award.

GW is mostly right. I got the call to interview last week, but it took months and months of a good friend's efforts throwing my resume around for it to work. I've had my resume in since Dec '06. I consider it more good fortune than inside juice. It would have taken a lot less time if it were the latter.

What my friend had been told about a month ago was that NJI would be interviewing from those resumes they already had on file. Only two more classes are left to fill in '08.

For what it's worth, I do have a GIV type.

Mr. SamFox,
You had an interview last week or you just got the call for the interview last week? How meny interviewed with you? Can you give any insite into what the interview was like.

Thank you..

If you really want to work at NJI get on with NJA. Per the NJA contract that was just ratified "as of Nov 20th 2008 you will need an NJA seniority number, NO other way in, all NJI fo slots will come from NJA bids".

If you hired today at NJA that number would be around 2750, and current bids to NJI GIV fo are going around 1800 you would have almost 1000 active pilots senior to you that could bid it, so the sooner you get an NJA seniority # the sooner you will get to NJI.

Good for you, Sam. Only pimped two resumes in 8 years and couldn't get either one an interview so your friend must be Navy :-) Let us know about your interview. Keep it professional but with some humor. They're not just looking for qualified people, but people you'd be willing to hang out with for a week without police intervention.

Best of luck.

Nice problem you have there, Southwest or NJ International. I'm Sure there's a couple of regional guys who'd like to be in your shoes.

Thanks for all the input from all you good people. Is there any body out there that can shed some light on the QOL at NJI, Starting pay and numbers of pilots they are going to hire off the street this year?
