XOJet application process

No, not in the sense that a quarter share operation like NetJets is. They are a half share or full share gig. I don't have enough information to illuminate much further, but know that XOJet runs in a manner that is not fractional. They never liked being called that.

I applied in October of 07 and have not heard anything. I have a friend there and he said they hired a bunch of guys who already had Citation X types from some company in Phx. Still hope to hear something some day, but I already got hired by someone else so I am happy. the 300s should be coming soon so they should be looking. He loves the job, him and his wife both fly for them and they matched thier schedule up as well. Good luck and I think you will like flying for them.

That doesn't seem very good. Just because I have nothing to update doesn't mean I am not still interested. I got my APP in well before the NBAA meeting and never heard anything. I thought I was a pretty qualified applicant as well.

I think what pilotbum is saying is that activity in your file keeps it fresh and on top of the stack. If you got a fresh medical, send it in. Updating flying time shows you are current. It really isn't about being more qualified. It's about keeping you name in front of them.

While I was there, they fired a high-up guy because they thought he was trying to go net-jets on them(trying to cut corners and pilot happiness).
I love the XOJet guys...ya'll really crack me up with your Mr. Santulli man-crush ya'll have going on over there. NetJets does not cut corners, that is why XOJet is no longer an approved vendor. Pilot happiness is the definition of NetJets these days. As is owner satisfaction. To check out more Santulli man-crush, go to www.ainonline.com and search for XOJets CEO's interview. He couldn't stop gushing about NetJets in his own interview. For the XOJet guys who think half and full shares are hot and different...ever think NetJets sold those types of shares? It is just one part of the market and we were in it decades before ya'll.
XOJet is a decent place to work, but their business model serves a very small slice in a niche market. I wish you guys well over there, but understand that RTS has survived competition before you and will survive competition after you. (RTS Richard T. Santulli founder of NetJets.) I suggest someone send a memo to your CEO to pay attention to his own business instead of focusing so much on his idle. Even good ideas are hard to make successful in the early years.
Rant over. Let the flaming begin. Just had to respond to some of the foolishness.

Timsmith,
No flame coming from me; I don't even have a pony in this fight and spent a total of 4 months in the 135 world. So, what I said was probably more off the cuff conjecture than solid fact. No worries here.

Just checking in. I'm updating regularly, every month since Jan. '08. No word, no response, nothing. BTW, I'd be pleased to work for either Net Jets, or XOJet. Good equipment, good schedule, good pay, Good QOL, Good security. Thats all I want, and would make the last 20 years of dues worth paying.
