Do you know if they hire directly to PIC positions or not. If not, do you know the approximate upgrade time. I see thay are looking for applicants on AVIANATION and list the requirements for both PIC and SIC

pilotbum, Thank you for the info! The last charter company i worked for used them exclusively and if Sentient could get a way with things and have no limits,,, the pilots took it in the shorts with rest periods and duty days. How long have you been with XOJet? Sounds like you enjoy the company!! Do you have any gouge on the interview process and is there a sim check, written test or is the info top secret? Thnaks for the info!!

I think they are primarily hiring only SIC's right now. They might still hire a couple of typed X guys for PIC. Buddy that works there said the upgrades are under a year. I'm still trying to get an interview myself and have been waiting since mid Dec. Hadn't heard anything yet?

Default OP update

I have it now on very good authority (I got very lucky with a contact that shall remain nameless) that the west coast is over crewed for the Citation X. The next opportunity for the west coast is upon delivery of Challenger 300 aircraft on order. Good luck to all.

There are a few PIC's hired. There are a lot of variables that go into determining your hire status. But we do hire street captains.

Our pilots are well taken care of. I love this place. The potential is tremendous. I can't go into too much detail, but there is a lot on the horizon. I do have the gouge, but I'm not going to share it... but honestly, the interview process is designed such that gouge would not help you anyway. In fact, if you thought you knew what was coming it could hurt more than help you. So, I would not sweat it.

But, there is no sim or written test.

X type for PIC hiring status is not required. Upgrades are quick for qualified candidates.

Who is your buddy? I think its SD, correct? He should be able to drop names by now...

Not entirely true, but close. It's not that the west is over crewed, but the east is under crewed. Did you get a call?

Yep, SD is my buddy. Tried to call him today but think he was flying. Are you T-bone from FI.com or did I already ask you that?

Are yall looking for Dallas guys right now or no? Its closer to the East coast...

Pilotbum,,,,,thanks for all your input! I've got my resume in and hope to retire to this company when my name gets called for an interview! I guess the other company I worked for was the one who was giving 'it' to the pilots in the shorts and blaming it on Sentient. We didn't know. Thanks, again!! Keep the dirtyside down. PF.
