So are they planning to move their hub from Columbus to Raleigh-Durham or open a new one at Raleigh, since the airline recently renewed a new contract with its union based in Ohio.

I think the company is just trying to get a better incentive package from Columbus. Although Columbus is the operations center (ie dispatch, scheduling, etc.), most crews only go there once a year for recurrent training. The ground personnel would be the ones affected by a move. It's not an airline type "hub".

I don't think the location of the union local will matter one way or the other.

Where our pilot's union is based has no bearing on the decision. We can move too, especially since the pilots that spend the majority of their time at the union offices are all based elsewhere. The only thing the pilot union would need to do is find new office space and hire some support staff if the support staff currently in CMH doesn't want to move.
