Hiring is based on AC deliveries, not bases. Did your buddy know anybody there?

Okay, I think I know who you're talking about.

There are a few guys here from Independence Air, but not many. A couple of line pilots and only 2 management guys.

Didn't some of them flock to Skybus?

I few of the pilots went there, but they weren't management. Wonder what they're doing now???...

pilotbum...would you recommend xo as a place to retire...i know its early to tell, but if it all takes off like i think it will, would you stay for a long time???

and since the east coast is low on pilots, is that something they look at when giving interviews?

Well... yes, that's what we're all hoping for! It's a great place to work. If you run across any of our pilots in the FBO's out there, they all have great things to say. But don't take my word for it. If they're not busy they are all approachable. Only time will tell what it will be like in 10 years or more but the way they're planning things now we will be well off. Management knows much of their success is from us on the front lines and wants to keep us happy.

East coast pilots are getting preferance these days.

Hi guys. Been reading these boards for a while; first time posting. Hey Pilotbum, I'm a former Independence Air guy myself. Just last week I took my second furlough from the regionals (PSA). It probably goes without saying that I really, really, REALLY want to get on over there at XOJet. Obviously, I'd like to get an internal rec or two (or 4) and I've tracked down the names of all the former IDE guys over there (one of them I flew with in the J41 back when we were still ACA). I haven't yet been able to get my hands on any of their contact info, tho. Is there any chance you could help me get in touch with one or two of these guys? I have beer.....

I'm still years from retirement, but I certainly hope so.
