CS Pay Raise Announcement

Email sent out today announcing new pay scale effective April. ;)
First year FO will be $55,510 for 7 on 7 off. Also said that we will be getting new schedule options with appropriate pay scales, but for now we will remain on the 7/7 schedule. 5 Year captain 101K. Tops out at 142K for a 15 year captain.

Zounds. I just updated my resume with them. Incidentally, how long does it take to get a response to the initial application? I applied Jan 03, and haven't heard anything. I'd sure like to get on. Any guidance or suggestions? Thanks guys.

Good news for the frac. industry. Yes, we should all keep moving the bar up, NJ can't do it alone. Good to know FX and CS are helping.

Congrats

Hopefully this will put some pressure on Flight Options to raise their pay scales...

This is great news for the fractional pilot. The others will be forced to pay more or sink...that is how our free market society works. First was NetJets, now Citation Shares and the rest will follow.

I suspect this is going to have a positive affect on the 121 guys as well. Their carriers are going to lose more pilots to the better initial pay of the fractionals and the different schedule options. It is just a matter of time. They will have to pay better wages or they will have a even harder time attracting the pilots they want.

The only thing I see as being a negative here is the possibility of a company upping the pay for their labor to compete and ultimately putting themselves out of business. I am not saying it will happen because I think that most of them are well run, but it could. I hope management has a good handle on this so it will last a long, long time. I definetly want a piece of this pie. ;)

One more thing. Any word on if they are going to add any new domiciles or possibly extending the 2 hour drive requirement from home to domicile airport?

I wouldnt hold my breath. The 2 hour rule is an issue with our POI. Before the NJ TA they seemed to be leaning more towards closing some bases than opening more but with NJ's list of 100 who knows. They are certainly missing out on a huge number of pilots because they don't want bases in "one airline" cities. A great example of how they are losing quality applicants to save 30 bucks on tickets.

They are saving that for the next round of negotiations in a year or two. That can't give everything away... I do think the 2 hour drive requirement is a bit restrictive - but hey, at least compensation is more competititve. One step at a time...

Agreed Bill, just curious is all. I was wondering if maybe something was said about it. Thanks Bill and flyguy37.
