Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I'm at Skywest right now and trying to get to NJA too. I tried to PM you but this site wouldn't let me. I think it's due to too few posts. I'd like to chat with you and see how it's all going for you. PM if your up to it.

I am doing a double commute to ATL and for the reserves. NJ is a good deal for me if I can get KDAL as a base. I am not very confident in the SW-ASA buyout nor our upcoming contract if we can ever get a new one. The company's latest proposal was sub-Mesa which was a slap in the face after 3 1/2 years of negotiations. They want us to take paycuts and concessions and we have ALWAYS been profitable. There is no reason to take a paycut when we are bringing in a big profit. I dont like making them money when they arent making me any. I just feel NJA is a much better place for me and my quality of life. I dont have my 1000 PIC yet, but I feel NJA is a place to stay and it's not that critical if you look to stay for the long term. I had a retired CAL pilot sitting next to me as a pax and he flies for NJA and loves it.

Congrats on the interviews. I've got one with Flex. Still waiting to here from NJA. I got my packet off to them on the first. Sounds like it took about 2 weeks for you to hear from them. Hopefully it will be the same for me.
I don't have enough posts to PM you here. Give me an email at [email protected] and either give me your phone number or I'll shoot mine off to you. I would love to compare notes and see if we can help each other land a job.

I was recently in a position this past week where I had to make a choice between NJA and Flexjet. I chose NJA over Flex. If the two of you would like, I still have my pro's and con's list for the two. Good luck.

I didn't even have to include Eagle in the equation! No sense in wasting paper. Eagle suited me very well for what I wanted when I hired on. I was able to get a good amount of jet time, made ok money, and most important it qualified me for the next step. What more could I have asked for?

Hey EglPlt,
I would really like to see the pro's and con's that you have and compare them to mine. The driving factor for me is Bombardier's stock, which is pretty low compared to Berkshire Hathaway's. NetJets has 50 aircraft on order and a much larger fleet while Flexjet has 35 a/c on order for this year only. Another con I noted is that FlexJet in non-union. I am not too keen on the idea of working for a non-union company. Flextjet is supposively going to announce a "substantial" pay increase very soon (like this week). This was told to me when I was called for the interview. Just my few points for input. Feel free to lay out your pros and cons
