Biggest cockpit of any corp jet I am aware of, very reliable, and smooth landings (trailing link gear). Pretty great I say.

Owners save a boatload of cash with this thing when comparing something with equal cabin/cargo size.

yeah I can see that..... As far as size, its upthere with the G-IV, G-V, Globals and Large Falcons, yet no where near their MTOW or powerplant ratings. I imagine its MUCH cheaper to operate, correct???

This is what I hear from mechanics and the owner. About 30% cheaper to operate than a G4. Plus, dispatch reliability is incredible given the experience the airframe has had at the airlines.

That's where it falls short, I think its less than its main competitors, the Falcon 2000 and Challenger 300. Definetly less than the G-200.

sorry I'm guessing

You can go about 3200nm at mach .72. 3000 at mach .74, and 2800 at .76.

For the price it can not be beat. Nothing else carries 13 people and a 1000 pounds of cargo from LA to NYC for 26 million.

3000nm at 0.74M...sounds like what a CRJ-200 conversion with aux fuel tanks will do with a somewhat larger cabin, although I'm sure the Legacy will do it off less runway. Never been on a Legacy, but I was very impressed with MJET's CR2 conversion that was on display at NBAA and imagine they're similar.

Both are excellent large-cabin options if you don't need nonstop international range...

Sounds a lot slower and less range than a G/GLEX/900. Where is the break even point in terms of hours flown? More aircraft time/less per purchase hour vs. less aircraft time/more per purchase hour.

EMB145 Captain, are you an Embraer demo pilot or something? You sound like a commercial, ha! Nothing wrong with liking your jet... It's not quite the same quality as a G-String, and MUCH louder in the flightdeck. Not a bad rig, COULD be a decent cost/capability compromise.
