NJA Phone Interview
Has anyone experienced the new NJA phone interview? I heard they were starting to pre-screen candidates over the phone but haven't heard anything about the interview itself. Are they asking technical questions (stump the dummy) or just the typical get to know you...?

I just completed my phone interview today. I was told before the interview started it would have no impact on me coming out to interview next week. If I had to guess I would say at some point in the future this phone interview will happen before being invited to the actual interview. In my case I was invited to interview first then received the phone call to set up a time to complete the phone interview. The phone interview lasted just under a half hour. Some of the questions were situational and the rest were you typical interview questions. No technical questions.

An owner, his two children and the family dog show up to board the aircraft. When you get the harness out the owner says it will not be required and insits the dog lay in the aisle. If the dog lays in the aisle you know the emergency exits will be blocked. How do you handle this?

Interviewing, I can't imagine that they expect you to know the company's inner workings. You do the best you can and if need be you contact owner services and make them correct the problem, then asst chief pilot as necessary.

My partner told a lady she needed to restrain/harness her dog, she replied " do you always go by book, my friend?". She didn't like it too much, but inmediately complied. My partner didn't say anything after.

95AS Pope. Yes, I'm a reservist at Pope - we were relocated during the BRAC.
Thanks to the T6 IP for the interview gouge. I heard they are going to pre-screen everyone before spending a fortune on getting him/her to an interview... makes sense since many haven't been making it past the interview.
