Congrats guys. G. called my home on Friday and spoke with my wife. He said Aug. 4th for sure and he will call me on Monday with more details. I also requested the Sovereign at IAD, but we will see. Any idea on flight safety dates for you guys yet? See you on the 4th.

How long is Indoc and aircraft training if you get hired?

Are people offered a choice of aircraft or are they assigned as needed? I wasn't aware that people were given a choice. Great job on getting on with CS. Personally, I wouldn't mind the CJ3 myself even though it doesn't have an APU -still a very sporty airplane IMHO.

What are the odds that CS will eventually order the Citation Columbus given its association with Cessna? Has that been mentioned internally? I would think current CS customers might like the option of flying to Hawaii or Europe at some point.

I was asked during my 2nd phone interview if I had an a/c preference. In the end, I think it really just depends on their needs at the time. Another interviewee asked about the Columbus during our tour. We were told it will basically depend on whether enough customers show interest in them. Given the success of NJI, I have to believe that their will eventually be a strong demand for a true intl' machine at CS. Cheers!

Aircraft type was driven by need. That being said, The XLS and the Sovereign are the only aircraft that will be assigned for the Aug 4 class (so I've been told). Anybody know when training will start in Orlando, I seem to remember someone saying Aug 15. Also, I understand that some training is 14 days and others 21 --- any info on these numbers?

The Sovereign program was 21 days in MCO. Indoc in HPN was 7days

Just want to say thanks to all on your interview info. Got the nod for CS. Looks like the Aug class is full. There should be about 16 total for Aug. Next class is early Sept. I hear about 10 slots which is where I will be.

Congrats! You have gotten one of a very small number of good flying jobs left nowadays.

cficpilot -

Congrats. I take it that the gouge on this thread was right on target? Any idea of your aircraft yet or does that come later?
