I just got back from dfw a bud of mine that works for flex told me they are slowing down due to sim aviabilety they are slamed tight .there is only 2 45 sims and you have flex people and reg cust, and the slots are full .the same for the cl-300 there is only 1 sim and the backup is about 1 year so this is a reason flex slowed down some they are still hiring just at a slower rate to fit in the classes and sim slots .

Definitely no cutbacks! Flexjet is growing.

Just a slowdown on new hiring. Also with the pay raise, there's some pretty good competition for the job now...and no one wants to leave FJ to go to the majors/nationals any more.

Alright JP, I'll be talking to KP today about your "issues". And for the final time....... NO you may not have a pair of my under garments, so stop asking!

This probably belongs on another thread but here goes anyway --- Does FJ have any plans of opening some west coast bases? LAX, SFO, or SEA? It seems like it is a logical move for the future.

I think the "fractional" link shows Flex with an ONT base, but I believe this was closed when DEN opened. Could be mistaken. Will ask son when next we talk. He's in day 2 of 6.

Yep -- I just noticed the ONT on the fractional page here -- still would be nice for a SFO/OAK/SMF base.

ONT is still open, but not currently hiring for that base.

How does it work at FJ, do you have spend a certain amount of time at your base before you can request something else? or you can only move when there is an opening?

I dont believe there is a set policy on number of times you can switch bases.
Nor are there a set number of slots for each base. So pretty much you can bounce between DEN, DFW, EWR, and FLL all you want.

As for ONT for all practical purposes its closed. They have allowed the people who live there to stay but theres no chance for anyone internally to move there or a new hire to go there.

Back to the original thread.
KP told the pilot group not to send her any more resumes for the time being. Classes are set for the summer (4 CL 300 hires in June) and she has a pool of applicants for consideration after that. Additionally, she has a ton of already submitted resumes she hasn't reviewed yet.
