http://www.nationsonline.org/gallery.../earth-map.jpg My guess is that, if you have enough money and there's a suitable runway for the plane, XOJet will fly you there. |

The 121 stress?? Of having a dispatcher do the planning, W&B, check the weather, etc...? Or of having someone else load the bags, deal with the PAX, deal with the rampers,......? I understand that it's a crappy time to be at the airlines, but come on over to 135 charter and enjoy a whole new kind of stress. Wait until you are worrying about thunderstorms along the departure path, having just loaded 400 pounds of baggage in the 95 degree/100 % humidity of PBI, and you have some rich trophy wife, whose dog is scratching the leather, bugging you about low sodium Bloody Mary mix and celery sticks(even though there was no request for anything other than standard onboard catering) and screaming that she's ready to takeoff NOW and if you don't leapfrog those 35 airliners she's gonna call the owner of the company ( who is ALWAYS a personal friend) and her 22 hanging bags better not get wrinkled and her steamer trunk better not have a scratch on it because it cost more than you make in a year (no really, it did! I've seen it!). Now that's just fun. Seriously though, it's always nice to trade places for a while and get some new perspective/experience. Best of luck and hope you get an upgrade soon. And remember kids, boxes never complain! Except for the one in the back, looking for her Bloody Mary......

Excuse me please for typing it wrong. I meant an operations range. What's with the attitude?
|
No attitude. Let's not get into an online attitude interpretation thing ok. I don't know your situation, but your talking about fractional route maps hit me as the funniest thing I'd read on here in a while. You typed it wrong a couple times. Wording matters. Uh, no no I meant DA not MDA ...
The whole point was handled well right here:

LMAO! This should be pinned for a description of the day to day life of a Part 135 pilot! You did leave out cleaning the rags after some little spoiled 10 year old ran his crayons up and down the side of the plane interior and mommy says, "it's ok, it's ugly in here anyway".
|
sheezus, I thought 121 was frustrating. I can honestly say, as appealing as the schedules and home basing are, I could never put up with that bullsiht. I'd pour the contents of that garbage can all over that drunk MF, I'd shove those crayons you-know-where, and I'd beat the crap out of the steamer trunk...all on principle alone.

Part 121 stress? I love it. After working both 135 and 121, I laugh to myself anytime someone at the airline complains about the job. If it wasn't for the terrible pay and job instability, I'd stay 121. I enjoy working hard and getting paid accordingly. If you do too, then fractionals and charter might just be for you.
