NJA/NJI application q?

I have been a airline pilot forum reader for a while(thanks to all for great threads and info)and have finally registered.Thinking about applying to NJA/NJI(seems like a great company).Got some questions..On the Netjets web-page it looks like you have to send a completed application,a resume and a cover letter to apply for employment with NJA.Then, to apply with NJI you only have to send the resume and a cover letter(no completed application). Is this correct? Also, does NJI also offer the 100 bases,or is it only NJA that offer the 100 bases? Is it correct that NJI still hires, but will only get their pilots from NJA starting nov.08?How many pilots is Netjets expected to hire in the remaining months of 08 and the year of 09?What do you do with the(application)Flight time Worksheet? Is it for your own records only,or do you send it in with the application?:)Thanks.

I suggest spending your time on NJA since NJI will only bring in a handfull of pilots off the street before November and probably every one of them has either already interviewed or is already in the pool to do so. NJA plans on hiring between 400 and 450 this year and next, but I don't know how many have already been hired this year. So far we have continued hiring and taking aircraft even as the economy has sunk. They did this the last recession also before slowing down after the recession was done. My guess is at least another year of strong growth unless something hugely bad and unforeseen happens. Gas is expensive, but so far they are willing to pay. Good luck.

jtf is right. I interviewed w/ NJI in Jan, and we were told that we would probably be the last group of interviews off the street. We were being interviewed for training slots through the summer.

Is there any way to update your application for NJA?

When you get a confirmation email that NJA received your application, there is an update sheet attached. At least it was on mine. If you need it, send me your email and I'll forward it to you.

I've been on with NJA since Dec '07, I was told we've already hired 200 pilots this year so far. I just found this out last week while I was passing through CMH. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, keep them coming, this is a fantastic company to work for!

If one meets the minimums for employment at NJA, is it a good idea to start sending in apps right away or wait for more 'competitive' hours. I meet the minimums right now, but barely. If I start applying now will they keep my app on file until I look better or do they just reject you and you have to try again.
If that's the case do they want to see persistence and showing you really want it or do they like people to only start bugging them when they think they could actually get a job?
I'm at 2600TT, 2400 Multi-turbine (BE-10, B-190), 1600PIC turbine

Apply now.... They are not looking for the highest flight time in the bunch. Your quality of flight time, and your customer service background are far more important. Also having a LOR helps (a lot), as does a military background.
