XOJet expansion plans?

From some of the news on the XOJet website, it seems that there are plans for future expansion into the international market and thoughts of adding one more aircraft type to their inventory.

"XOJet Inc., a fast-growing private-aviation company backed by buyout firm TPG, is expected to announce Monday it has secured $2.5 billion in new financing to expand its jet fleet. It also plans to launch an international expansion in partnership with Tasameem, the real-estate arm of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority."

"HG: Presumably, though, you will have to introduce another aircraft type for your fleet, one with a longer range to serve the international market?
Absolutely. We are looking for a third aircraft type"

"...after XOJet establishes a base in Abu Dhabi to launch international operations."

Does anyone have more information on this?

Seems like XOJETS is the place to apply to.
Specially if you can consider relocating.
Isn't this news dated 051908?

I was just looking through the website.
I'm not sure of the date of the article.
They said that they couldn't talk about the future aircraft because they were in negotiations - but I was hoping that was old news and someone knew something by now.

It's been pretty quiet over there, but with XOJET, that always seems to be a good thing.

On a different note, I did hear the X's are slightly delayed for delivery. That should be resolved soon I would imagine - Cessna would not want to lose that deal. Also, they are probably very busy starting up their international Abu Dhabi base which according to the articles, is supposed to open up in the next few months. Add to that, the fact they are slated to take delivery of their CL300 fleet 3rd Qtr AND evaluating long range aircraft for their international expansion plans. Seems like a bunch of stuff going on at one time which I suspect keeps them busy. Hopefully a XO pilot can chime in.

I hope that means that you are too busy flying those great airplanes around the country to get on internet message boards!
If so - tell us more ;)

Could be, but this ad says the base is in Dubai, while XOJet (as far as I know) are going to run their ops out of Abu Dhabi. I may be wrong..
