You don't happen to work for Yellow Rose Aviation LLC do you? I ran into (by that I mean I saw) a P180 on the ramp at Fort Worth yesterday. It is the first P180 I have seen that wasn't part of Avantair's fleet. It still looked good even if it was in different colors

New payscale? You mean the one that includes the extra days you work at the pay you receive for those days? Or something entirely different that is "in the works" as Glasss claims? I have heard no rumors of a change in pay, other than the "new" fancy, you-get-paid-xyz-for-the-days-over-7-that-you-work payscale.

I realize being home based you airline to and from on day 1 and the last day...however how often do you airline during your tour??? Do you just keep the same airplane for the entire cycle or do you find yourself frequently airlining to a new plane?

90% of the time you stay with the plane. Mid tour airlines do happen, but they are rare. I leave my stuff in the plane at night unless I'm at a Mx base or TEB.

Missed call.
The other day I missed a call from an unknown number with no voicemail. I googled it and it was from Avantair. The number was the general number on the website. I had applied a few weeks ago.
Should I call back or wait for another call? I'm curious why they didn't leave a voicemail. Any ideas?

What I don't like is the $22,000 promissory note...if you bail you pay, which is fine. But if they can you, you pay, which isn't fine. Also, you're start date isn't until you complete training, meaning you are not an employee until that point. Almost sounds like Great Lakes to me...good luck to those who apply and get it.

Contracts aren't for everyone. neither is fractional and neither is Avantair.
Good luck to those who apply and want to get in. Be careful choosing where you apply. Not all flying jobs are the same.

Just a random question about the Avantair interview gouge on mypilotcareers.com. Maybe I've just been living under a rock or something, but what is the doghouse question all about? I can't even begin to understand why they would ask that, unless they just want to try and surprise you...
