King Air 350 Type = 1900 Type?

Here's a quick question regarding the type ratings on the Beech aircraft. I heeard that if you have a type on the 350 that it was good towards the 1900 and vice versa. Just wondering if anyone had ever researched this and recieved an answer from the FAA or other reputable source?

Wwouldn't call myself a reputable source, but they are not the same anymore. Found this out when I was shopping them with Flight Safety awhile ago.

20 years ago when our guys were upgrading in the 1900, they also got type rated in the 350. We had 1900C models at that time. I don't know if this made a difference or not.

I have a copy of some Flexjet info from last Oct., if any one is interested. It lists requirements, domiciles, benefits, possible moving allowances, and the OLD pay scale. I'm not too sharp on cutting and pasting, so you would have PM me. Keep the shiny side up.

My 2cents. I could be wrong but I almost 80% sure about this. It works downward. A B-1900 type is good for a King Air 350, & downward. But a King air type is not good for a B-1900. ie Just like a A-320 type is not good for a A-330.

I got typed in 1989 in the 1900 and also got a type in the 350. Wow I must be getting old that was 17 years ago.

An A-330 type isn't good on the A-320 either... it has to do with similarities and whether the FAA signs off on the program. If one gets a type in the 757 it's good in the 767... or if one gets the type in a 767 it's good in the 757.
