Do your kids a favor and submit the NetJets application while they are young.
Wait a year or two to get a phone interview.
Wait another 6 months to get an invitation to CMH.
Wait another 4 months to get a class date.
Wait another 4 months to get on the line.
Wait another 5 years for an upgrade to Captain.
Talk about being dedicated to the company :-)

Hey, when you get a class date they start paying. And on the 18 day scale too. Who cares how long it takes to get on the line? And upgrades come when they come. It does not matter what someone told you when you got hired.

I know that there is a list of phone interview questions on another thread, but I was wondering if anyone has recently had a phone interview with the new members on the recruitment team. My phone interview is comming up in October, origionally it was supposed to be in August. Anybody have a recent phone interview? If so have things changed at all since over the summer.

That's the point. Many people that are trying to get on with NJA need an answer in reasonable time. Many of us have interviews with overseas carriers that make us sign a contract if hired, among other opportunities. Having to wait 2-3 months after a phone interview just to hear a yes or a no is kind of weird, isn't it? How hard is it to make a decision? Maybe a week or two would be reasonable.

It does seem like they take a long time to make decisions. However, considering the current job market, they can pretty much do what they want.
I guess the part that bugs me is that a person on another forum who claims to be involved with hiring at NJ said they are making offers to only 10% - 20% of people who come to CMH for the personal interview. I guess it's just another indication of the sad state of the current US job market. There can be considerable cost and inconvenience associated with going to the "in person." Travel, hotel, meals, vacation time, prep stress, sim prerp, etc. Of course, nobody is being forced to go. i just wonder what they are finding out after the 45 minute chat and a sim ride? Especially after the extensive pre-screening process.
The application process seems pretty goofy too. They revamped the .pdf application form but it is still necessary to use PDFill or similar. Why not just get an on-line form like everybody else. Another thing that I find goofy is on the little customer service essay page, they want to know the county in which the customer service was provided. I know it's not a big deal but when they redid the form, did anyone ask "why do we have county on there?" Especially when they have ciy and state. It just seems odd.

Okay, I'll join in the app questions
Anybody:
I sent the paper old paper app in July 31. Nothing heard. Do I need to go ahead and send the new PDF filler app in? i.e. are they tossing the paper ones out?
Thanks.
Zach

I sent in the new application which is new on the website, and got a canned e-mail back. Anyone know how if NetJets has discarded all of the old applications and how long is it before guys are getting the e-mail to set up the phone interview call or interview e-mail.

I was curious about the same thing. NJ rec'd my paper app in March, and I did get an email response stating so. I have not rec'd an email saying that I need to re-apply using the online form...but, then again, the way they operate makes me wonder if they would send an email out to everyone notifying them that their app will be discarded. At the very least, they should offer some guidance on their website.
Last week I emailed an update to pilot recruitment and rec'd a generic email response "thanking me for my interest." Personally, I think that unless you've been given a "thumbs-up" after your in-person interview in CMH, you are truly lost in the shuffle.
