They're apparently overstaffed. I was told a few of the low-time pilots had recently been fired and that management has asked for two "voluntary" overtime days from each pilot. Make your own guesses as to what all this may indicate.

Interesting. You would expect that they would need some extra pilots when they start training for the Grob jet (before its arrival). Why would they ask for overtime days if they are overstaffed? It's a bit confusing...

Any word whether the Grob will actually arrive in Q4 2008?

That is just its current configuration on the ground. CJC and QX, one screen is on electrical and the other is on doors. Before takeoff both of the MFDs will be on the nav screen and typically one will have a terrain overlay and the other will have radar overlay if needed.

as for missing EWR BL...If I never go to EWR again I would be ok with it. I will miss SKC VIS 10 WINDS CALM groundstops and EDC times.

Thread revival. I'm just curious, an earlier poster stated that a lot of the senior guys had moved on to other flying gigs. Just wondering what these guys moved on to with their thousands of hours of Single Turbine PIC time? Will the majors look at you if you have 6 or 7 thousand hours of PIC time in a PC-12?

The standard route would be on to another fractional or a corporate gig somewhere.

While we're reviving this thread... anyone hearing anything good out of Alpha? Any chance of bringing folks back (or dare I say hiring) in the Spring?

I sent my resume over to their DO (since I had an interivew lined up but was canceled), and his reply was that right now they still have pilots on furlough with no intentions of hiring until fall of 2010.

I guess the Grob is a "no go." I wonder if they considered potential Grob replacements - I am sure some of the PC12 owners would want to upgrade to something faster.

My old instructor is a Captain there...she said they're focusing on new PC-12's for right now and with regards to hiring, probably won't be for a long while....late summer/fall 2010...a few pilots have been let go for performance issues/problems and a few furloughs.
