Alpha/Planesense

I see on the main APC page that Alpha isn't hiring but I was wondering if anyone there knows otherwise? And if not any plans for the future for hiring? Thanks!

I hear very heavy on FOs and the Grob jets (25-50 on order/option) don't appear to be coming any time soon (especially since Grob might be bankrupt). I wouldn't expect much growth for awhile...

I got the email a month ago that they are not hiring for anyone either FOs or CAs. They said keep updating the resume and they are only hiring when new airframes come, new customers sign up or attrition warrants it.

Not hiring FO's or CA's.

Those Grob jets have been "on order", "on the way", "we're getting them" for well over three years now.

There is no union, and no seniority system for upgrading. They upgrade the best butt kissers first, and let the people who won't push the FAR's to the limit sit right seat until they resign. If you don't mind kissing tail, being subject tobeing fired because somebody doesn't "like" you, never upgrading because you told them you were too tired to safely reposition the plane at 3AM, then it isn't the place to be.

I have four friends who went there over the last five years. All have left, and do not have pleasant things to say about the company.

Great, well I know at least 6 people there, one who I lived with for a while in New Hampshire, and they love the place. The management respects the work group and they have a good relationship. No one is pressured to break FAR's, and you do not have to kiss anyone's ass. Just show up and do your job. OH and I guess Alpha is the first aircraft operator to say "we are getting new aircraft" but it ends up taking longer than expected. Maybe Alpha is not for everyone, but it is a decent place to work. Better than any regional airline anyways...

It just goes to show that some people are never going to be happy and usually..... it's never thier fault.

It is not the management at Alphas fault that the Grobs are not coming. They have the financials and the delivery slots but Grob is currently falling apart. Not much you can do about that. Alpha will more than likely lose money in the deal and not end up with the jets. Should have just bought mustangs at the beginning.
