My observation as well, but it includes Shares and FLOPS pilots as well.

I have seen a large number (4 or more) of NJA guys "take over" a pilot lounge...once. A simple "excuse me" parted the sea of RON bags and opened up some chairs near the back of the room. I think *gasp* I might have even gotten an apology or three for blocking the aisle.

Probably didn't help we all were in a sour mood because the FBO was out of everything but plain black coffee (I'm looking at you, MKE)...

Just read all five pages and found this thread to be hillarious. I have NJA crews on my a/c all the time, espcially when I was based in HPN. More than 95% of the NJA pilot group has been extremely friendly to all of my crewmembers. I can only remember one instance where I had two NJI Ca's. on my a/c going to HPN, both myself and the fa said goodbye and thank you. They both walked off like they owned the joint, and I could really care less!

The same goes for regular pax when they get off, a majority of them take it for granted they get home safely everytime. Its the one or two people that get off and say "thanks for a great flight" that make my day.

The 121 guys need to educate themselves and realize NJA crews are paying pax. If they don't want to say "hello" "goodbye" and "thank you" who cares.

Alot more things in life to worry about!

Guess I’ll add my worthless 2 cents in as well. As far as I’m concerned, I met a netjets pilot at the SGR airport near my house and had a nice conversation with him about the industry and how he got into it. Seemed like a nice guy, former military (marines) said he flew c-130’s after 20 years and is now at netjets.

Point is, just don’t generalize, like many have said on here, it’s probably just a few out of the many with such an attitude.

Definiately. Didn't mean to exclude others. I haven't met any Shares crews, though. One FLOPS crew (BFI) and one Avantair crew (BNA), both very friendly. I've just met a lot more NJA crews while airlining to/from my trips.

Just my two cents, I don't fly on RJs very often being in PBI but when I get off of US or DL I always listen to the comments in front of me, usually the three people in front of me get "Thanks" from the crew and they reply "Bye" and I (in uniform) get "Bye" and I usually end up saying "Thanks." I never really thought of it much but it has been happening so much I have started to take notice. I thought it was just the crew shaking things up with the comments to 150 people, but I always hear the same thing. Anyone else notice this?

BTW to the cargo guy we buy our fair share of Int'l tickets, we are to be placed in first class if you pass more than 5 time zones. The T&E guy said he just had to approve $16,000 for a one way flight form Vienna. Maybe no HKG but across the North Atlantic there are plenty of NJA guys.

Funny you mention this...I'm at a 121 regional carrier, this irritates many people (myself included) I work with too.

I'm willing to bet that Netjet pilots are exactly the same as any other pilot group. Mostly great guys with a few "eccentrics" thrown in. BTW - I have on numerous times put their stuff in a crew closet and even hand carried and retrieved gate checked bags when we had no room - simple prosfessional courtesy.
I don't know why there are so many misconceptions out there. One I frequently hear is how pilots at the majors will not acknowledge connection pilots in the airports - I nod or smile at all pilots in the airport and noticed a lot do not reciprocate. I have no idea why.

So I'm just curious, NetJets folks, why no respect? Does it matter that you're not jumpseating, but paying passengers? You're in uniform. You're Pilots. Many of you are former RJ-Drivers...and besides, we're all flying these "little airplanes!"

We're just looking for the same respect we give you is all. Y'all don't have to kill with kindness, just a friendly nod of the head, shake of the hand...!
Maybe he didn't look up because he was trying not to trip through that small CRJ aisle! Come on dude, is there even a point to your thread? Every company has its fair share of numbskulls out there, NJA is no exception. Get over it......
As for respect, what the heck are u talking about? Do you think your crew comes out and shakes my hand everytime we board your jet? We're just passengers like everyone else on board. Respect is letting you do your job and being cordial - and I don't need to be respected any more than the passenger next to me. Nothing more is needed.

Honestly? I never saw a Flexjet pilot when I flew for Air Wisconsin. I also haven't run into very many on the road the last year in my 91 job.

The exclusion is due to unfamiliarity, not negative experiences.
