Isn't it funny how the perceptions vary from person to person? Like I said earlier, I certainly don't find it inviting anymore to stick my head into the cockpit and try to engage the pilots in conversation before or after a flight (except on charters that I have been on) From the above statement; I would think that you actually want me to stop by and chat. I'll be flying Delta on Tuesday - maybe I'll give it a shot

In any case everyone - let's not try to turn this thread into another "do pilots who are not JS'ing or Non-rev'ing have to check in with the Captain. That question was exhaustively covered in a previous thread.

And so we don't have to do it all again...

Maybe since NetJet pilots seem to be not appreciated by Skywest pilots, they should just purge all Skywest pilot apps from the NetJet hiring database....

Or, is ExperiementalAB's opinion of NetJet pilots simply an anomaly?

I personally say hi to the F/A and pilots on most flights. Since coming to NJ 3 years ago, I have found the company to be extremely friendly, I'm sorry you have had a bad run. With 3000 of us, you will get a variety.

I only left Comair back in March for NJ so I still feel a connection with the regional pilots. Not sure what that captains problem was, but I always acknowledge the crew as I am getting off the plane. That is if they are standing in the doorway. I obviously won't stick my head upfront since I don't feel that is necessary. No other paying passenger would do that. Well, maybe none, but most other paying passengers.

Have a good day.

I have been with NJ for 4 years, and we have our share of weirdo's, as does every company.....but I must say, we airline all the time, and it is the worst part of our job...and after being out for 6 or 7 days, working 12 or 13 hours each day and getting stuck in the back row of a rj we are on occasion, tired and crabby....don't lump us all into one heap of arrogant pilot waste. Heck, there are times we do not talk to another NJ pilot we run into on the ramp or in the terminal.

D@mn, that's pretty sad.

The one thing I liked about ATA was that we all said "hi, wanna beer?" H*ll, even the SWA pilots in MDW said "hi."

You ever been at First in TEB or Signature PBI. If we had to talk to every NJ pilot there would be no one left to fly.

Shoot, "normal" passengers often blow me off when I say, "Good Night." So if a pilot does it, there's probably a reason other than the normal a**holitis that is going around.

Unless a pilot is a complete d-bag, they will make every effort to at least say hello to another pilot whether its on a plane or in the terminal. If they don't, their mind is probably elsewhere.
