NetJets medical benefits

I saw a previous post that talked briefly about benefits, but I have a more detailed question. My wife has permenant disabilities that require lots of specialist doctors and medications. I am currently covered by the military system, but that will soon change as I plan to get out (and hopefully start with NJ).
1-With this prior medical need, how much would she be covered by company benefits?
2-What kind of copayments are there?
3-If hired, would I be able to negotiate a better medical plan, in lieu of salary, for example?

Thanks.

Go luck too you. I wish you the best. You have the right idea as far as Netjets, I looking into them also. From what I see they have one of or if not the best medical plans in the business. Some guys from Netjets love to posts, so they can give you more on this matter.

I have found that www.flightinfo.com Netjets gauge and guys plus even a Netjets wife (which some people love to hate) I find it quite fun to watch, posts alot and some great stuff. They have more info on that website.

I asked the benefits administator and had them clarify with Aetna- the provider- for the information I needed about previous conditions being covered for my significant other. The answer was that they will cover a previous medical condition in most cases as long as the person with the condition has had coverage from a different plan within 90 days of coming onto the companies plan and as long as you can prove the coverage was there with a certificate of credible coverage from the insurer. There are 2 medical plan choices and one of them has no copays. I believe there is a fairly small yearly deductable, but no copays after that. I'm not up to speed on the medication costs, but they are probably pretty good also. As far a negotiating a better plan for yourself goes that won't happen unless you pay for it yourself from an outside insurer. It's possible the next contract will have a better medical plan, but unlikely since the current 2 choices are already pretty good. Some military guys are keeping their military insurence, but if you do that you don't get anything extra in pay from the company even though it saves them many thousands of dollars. I hope things work out for you and your wife.

I believe it's federal law that a plan has to cover pre-existing conditions as long as the person has been covered by a plan within the preceding 63 days prior to the start of coverage. Check the Hippa and Cobra laws and check Aetna's website, those should give you a good idea.

Thanks for all that info. It makes me and my wife feel a little better about being able to make the transition from the AF to civilian world.
