Information needed about NetJets
Good morning,
I am in the process of finishing a final for a career class. One of the requirements is to interview two pilots from a company you would like to work for in ten years, and NetJets seems like it would be a great company; however I am having difficulties contacting pilots from NetJets as I have never met anyone who worked there. I have called a few office numbers and the receptionist says they will get back to me, so if you know how I could get in contact with a current or former NetJet pilot, I would appreciate the help. Or, if you are a NetJet pilot, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions for me. I would be willing to give you my email if you do not want to post the answers. Thank you in advance for the help. Contact information: A first name and email would be great, however I understand if you do not want to give this out. Previous aviation companies worked for: The company you ultimately want to work for: How did you get your job at Netjets? What do you like most about your job/company? What do you like the least? What is your schedule like? Are the hiring minimums close to what is posted for a pilot position or are they considerably higher?
Where was the interview? How long was it? Was there a written or simulator test? If you can remember, please list any HR or technical questions which were asked. Any additional information you would like to provide. |
Post a few more times and then send me a pm.

[email protected]. I've only worked here for about 26 months. I am off though and have nothing better to do with my free time.

Be aware that the interview process has changed several times over the years. It is different now, than when I was hired 1.5 yr ago. And my interview was very different from many of the captains I have flown with. their year groups range from 4-15 years with the company. This info might be useful to your research, depending on depth of details. Feel free to PM.
Also, mins are the mins but hours are usually higher on average. This is not always true, but military pilots can get hired with the mins at majors/fracs/cargo. Often in interviews, your hours will be compared with pilots of similar background (121 vs 121, 135 vs 135). In my experience with NJA, the mins were the mins to get you in the door to interview. Aside from proving your hours with records, hours were meaningless at the interview. The interviewers wanted to know you and how you felt about customer safety and service and that you had some FAR knowledge. I have no idea if this past year had the same philosophy as the mins are the mins. If you want to see what questions were asked, I suggest using aviationinterviews as a source document. Very accurate information there, posted by interviewees. HR offices look here as well for questions that another company might ask, to get ideas for their own interview. |
I am still looking for one more Netjet pilot to interview for my final and I am unable to send PMs, although I do have 33 posts so im not sure why. If you are willing to answer the above questions for me and send them to
[email protected] I would really appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows the name of one of the chief pilots that would help to. And thanks again Illinipilot for your time. |
