NetJets' official sunglasses
So I was browsing around and came across this little article. Does NetJets give these to you or are they an option to buy? Personally I will stick to my knockoff Oakleys.

I got a pair right away- they charged our $400 a year uniform allowance about $125 or so per pair and they were available for about 2 or 3 weeks last November or December only. I don't know if the company isn't getting more for us to buy or Modo just released a few pairs to get the NetJets endorsement and then pulled the plug themselves. They are pretty descent glasses and they are definitely tough- I dropped mine while leaning out the airplane door and they bounced off the concrete a couple of times and just left a very minor scratch on one lense. No way would I buy them if it weren't for the uniform allowance, but I don't really need to spend $400 a year on my uniform so stuff like sunglasses was a nice touch while it lasted. I've only seen one other pilot here who was able to get their hands on them. I wish they would either just offer some more sun glasses options or at least just get more of our supposed "official" gear. I think it was a pretty hokey effort to make them an "official" product and then pull the plug almost right away.

What about leather jackets? Does NetJets allow them or offer them through an approved vendor? I held off for four years at my old job b/c I didn't want to buy one and then have the next (and hopefully the last) company either have their own or not allow them.

I was at the uniform website today and they are still offered, I think $103. I bought a pair a year ago with funds I had remaining at the end of the year. The glasses are ok to wear in the cockpit but I'm too embarrassed to wear them when I leave the seat. I feel like I'm in an 80's movie. My wife loves them for costumes. They are quality glasses though.
