No NetJets classes for 2009

Not that anyone should be surprised - we'll be lucky to still live in a democracy in 2009.
Sorry for the news, but I'm sure most would rather know. NetJets has told their "pool" - they don't call it a pool - not to expect a class date in 2009. In addition, a year from now, they can be asked to reapply and re-interview, although they should get fast-tracked to that interview provided no unexpected changes. As far as furloughs, they claim to have no intention or desire to furlough anyone, ever. History changes in the present, but at least a furlough policy is something NetJets is avoiding, at least as their official position.
Here's to NetJets, their employees, and the entire industry getting through this rough time.

Soulshine -

Thanks for the informative post - but please be careful with the political references. Let's keep the subject matter focused on NJA and hiring.
Best of luck to those waiting.

Sure thing. Not intended to be political.

first emails went out about 3 weeks ago, most people already know.

Don't really know what to say, it sucks for the guys who interviewed and got the thumbs up. They waited months for a class, now they'll most likely wait a whole year just to interview again.... not good

The only consolation I can offer, I don't think the second interview will be much of an interview for those who were offered a job. They're going to ask about 2009, how many hours did you fly in 2009?, any DUIs, accidents or incidents since we last spoke?, and that should be it....more of a formality than interview, but still sucks that you have to wait....

You're so oppressed!

A. There is no lack of free speech. When you registered, you agreed to the terms and you agreed that this is not a political forum.

B. How has Socialism come to APC? Is there some sort of equal distribution of wealth or resources on this site? Apparently, you know nothing of socialism. The concept of Socialism has nothing to do with promoting or denying free speech.

C. 1st amendment? See bullet A. If you don't like it, start your own website.

Lighten up Francis.
