Any news from XOJet?

I spoke to someone who really needs to be in the know of XO's future plans (XO needs to go through him for certain important approvals) and he mentioned changes to the fleet are coming. Smaller birds will be added to the business plan.

I will not go into detail since it could be deemed sensitive material and I prefer not to put this individual on the spot.

Before the fire strikes from some of you about "I heard but can't disclose the details= BS", I only say it's up to you to believe me or not.

Aviation forum rule #1
If half the thread is devoted to defending your "inside information" it's most likely not true.

I hear they are not too keen on ex-mil that get typed and then walk away. But then, I would have probably lost some personality test and been terminated anyway.

Didn't take long.

Btw, it's a post not a thread.

Are you guys on a "pager" type system or have a "set" schedule?

8 on 6 off if you live within 100 miles of an approved domicile. 15 on 13 off if you live anywhere else.

Hey Swedespeed,

I know you are not technically "employed" by a certain training company to sit right seat for their clients, even though you get a free type for you time. Lets say for the sake of argument that you are employed at this company. I bet your employer, or your source, would not want you spreading possibly confidential information about one of their larger clients on a public forum. This could land you and your source in the unemployment line, and a big lawsuit on your employer. Not smart.

I'm not confirming your rumor, because it simply is not true at this time. Just a warning. Ask the mods, I bet they have had to release the personal identity or ip adresses of loudmouth posters to companies so their employment can be terminated.

Remember, loose lips sink ships. And they can give you a bad reputation that most companies don't want to have in their ranks.

Kind of like terminating one in five of your fellow pilots, with no warning... at Christmas time (or "the Holiday Season", for those PC HR types)??!?

No offense, Clyde, but lighten up a little.

The guy was just musing on a little, possibly positive news in your industry.. A rare thing these days. And it's not like he named any names or gave any specifics, just a heads up. And I don't think the guy needs to be threatened because of that. Actually, a pretty cryptic post. No big trade secrets needing any IP address disclosures etc. Why be so secretive....?

FWIW, I hope that he is right with the possible good news of additions to your fleet. Certainly better PR than the news of December 2008.

If Swede's news is right, then congrats on your company's growth in this market.

Good luck to you guys,

I'm with you 727. Clyde needs to be quiet and take his threats elsewhere.

Clyde, first of all I can tell you this info did NOT come from my "almost" employer. Had this been top secret I would think the person who relayed this information probably would have been under a non-disclosure agreement, and be somewhat more careful about opening his mouth.

In no way did he imply this was a "don't tell anyone, if you do I will have to kill you" case.
