How many days you get is the next question.

So let me see if I got this right. FlexJet is asking guys to fly on their days off, not giving guys the chance to bid down for days off, they are busy and getting more busy, and the busy season is coming up. Citation Air has recalled twice and they furloughed around the same amount of guys as Flexjet did.
So why has Flexjet not recalled anyone back yet? Anyone with any ideas?

I would say it is purely based on the aircraft they have sold. I doubt it matters how much you fly, if they have 80 aircraft sold, they are going to put 4.2 (I'm guessing at the numbers) crewmembers per plane.
When they get more aircraft sold, or people retire, they will recall.
Remember, you flying more hours just improves the efficiency of the place. As DG would say,,, Metrics!!!

I thought that they furloughed because the flying was down, not the sales? At least that is what they had said at the beginning. I understand that if they only have 80 planes to have them staffed for 4.2 or so per plane. That makes sense to me. But they had more planes than that when the furloughed and they furloughed because the flying was down. I hope the flying keeps picking up.

I talked to someone from Flex the other day and he said that T.C. announced that they were not going to be any recalls this year. He said that they staffing level is still where it needs to be. Has anyone there at Flex heard this?

Not there, but saw the e mail where he said this. Also heard "next summer, if things don't get worse."

This has been quite for a little bit. Whats new at the Flex? Any good rumors of recalls? I have been asking around, and it seems that there are a lot of the 85 guys that were furloughed that have found new flying jobs.

No kidding; it's been a year and a half.
Talk is no longer of recalls, but the possibility of a hiring pool consisting of the 85 to be formed after the two year recall window expires. Company could pick and choose who they want. Presumably those reHIRED would be first year pilots, with pay and benefits appropriate for their status. Only time will tell; stories I hear are that they are pretty busy - but management would rather charter extensively then call people back.
