Great to hear! :)

Tweet46 11-17-2009 05:52 PM

That is fantastic news. Hopefully this is the first of many recalls!

wareagle07 11-18-2009 04:05 AM

That's awesome! Congratulations guys! Hopefully more will follow

highnpressurizd 11-18-2009 08:17 AM

More Good News

As of this morning, amended numbers: 7 upgrades 16 recalls.

Tweet46 11-18-2009 08:37 AM

Wow, good news getting better! Let's hope everyone gets back to work soon.

HPNPilot1200 12-12-2009 09:04 AM

Nice, great news for those on furlough at Shares (or CitaitonAir now). If only they would recall the handful of pilots they terminated due to mechanical issues fully outside of the control of those pilots. It was an easy way to get them off payroll in a sour economy. Sigh.

FalconFlyer 12-13-2009 07:50 AM

That ain't right! What happened?

HPNPilot1200 12-13-2009 09:48 AM

Original post details removed to mitigate conflict and bring the thread's topic back to focus.

Back to the true topic of the thread, it is really great news that they are recalling pilots. It gives us hope that the industry may be turning around for the better.

nfo99 12-13-2009 01:19 PM

Rumors and hearsay don't equal facts. None of your description of the termination is true. If your bitter and unhappy about your job making this up to make it look worse than it is on a public forum is completely unprofessional.

Actually all of the description is true and none of it is rumor or hearsay. And I am not unhappy about my job (I have never been employed by CitationAir) or am I trying to make it look worse than it is (I wasn't the one fired, it was a friend of mine who was). I am just frustrated at the questionable tactics used by management to take people off payroll.

In the spirit of professionalism and to prevent a future flame war, this will be my last post in this thread. Life is too short to argue over an online forum. I'm sure you understand.

Thanks.

nfo99 12-13-2009 04:17 PM

Of course the person isn't man enough to admit they may have made a mistake. Of course it's the managements fault for his YEARS of poor decisions He was not terminated for writing something up. I am sure that's his story that he tells to not admit fault. His lack of professionalism is what put him on the street. If he is your friend good luck with that. No need to worry about flaming here. I am only here to state facts. I joined up after (looking at this site for years) when i saw an outright lie posted on a public forum.

Sounds like some families will be having a happier xmas

Mod Note:

I know I am starting to sound like a broken record, but listen guys, this is the Internet and try as we might, we cannot always control what some people post. We also cannot control who reads the forums and how he/she may interpret or misinterpret what is read. Why, some people cannot even read simple English, let alone make intelligent remarks.

And here's a quick lesson in the Federal Rules of Evidence on Hearsay. In general, hearsay is a statement made outside a court of law or a statement that is NOT based on personal knowledge. For example, it is hearsay when you tell me that your cousin, Bob, told you that he saw a yellow car hit a blue car an hour ago, but you did not see this collision yourself. You know about it only because Bob told you. If I repeated this story to my friend, TonyC, that would be hearsay on hearsay since neither you or I saw the collision.

No posts will be deleted for now. Looks like there was a statement made and someone countered it. Take that for what it's worth. Nobody as yet has posted that he has personal knowledge of what happened. And until that happens, all we have is a point and a counterpoint. You can believe what you choose to believe.

So, back to the topic. If it is true that CitationAir is recalling, that is good news indeed for those recalled. Thanks 767pilot for bringing the thread back on track.

pkunzip66 12-13-2009 06:00 PM

Happy to hear that people are getting recalled again. Let's keep it going and start the new hiring wave.

LukinUp 12-15-2009 08:36 AM

hearsay = gossip

You might be correct on this issue (I don't know and am not involved), but I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this since I know (firsthand) that they kept detailed information about who wrote up what and they have a DO that likes to fire people when he feels like it. Just wanted to post the "facts" since job security was one of the major reasons I left CS. BTW, I very much enjoyed my time at CS before I left for NJ and it is a great company to work for.

9999 12-21-2009 09:06 AM

Hey Chris, are you on the slate for furlough with Netjets? If you had stayed at CS, would you be furloughed?

Just curious how the switch from one company to the other affected your job security. Thanks

BTW, I do get tired of seeing the Netjets guys always hijacking CS threads. I come to read the information and always have to read the diatribe of Netjet pilots in them. You guys definetly have a lock on hijacking threads.

What I posted actually had some relevance to the thread. What you just posted is now successfully taking the thread off on a tangent. If you really want to know the answers to your sarcastic questions, start another thread on the subject and I'll be happy to answer them.
