Default Atlantic Awards

Anyone know the maximum dollar amount a person can fund his/her Atlantic Awards gift card and not be required to pay taxes?

I heard it was $600. Don't know for sure though. You do have to enter in all your bucks before the end of the year though, or you loose them!

Thanks,
I have heard the $600 number as well, but I recently heard $500 is the magic number.

Last year I stopped my coupons at $595 and I never received a 1099 from Atlantic. I have been told that $600 or more and you are the lucky winner of the opportunity to report the $ on your taxes.

If you get any certificates after 15 Dec, you can enter them in Jan (up until the 5th) and they will be credited to next year's amount.

Get more than one card. One for the wife, son, daughter, etc. Go up to $595 on each one.

I believe this was for the beginning of 2009. Take a look at your card(s)...they expire 12/31/2009. I don't know the fate of the reward program, but I'm playing it safe and entering/using all my credit before the end of the year.

Im confused and i cant get an answer. Maybe someone can help.
I have 22 ( $110) atlantic bucks that i have acquired in oct and nov of 2009. Are you people saying that i have to acquire $90 more by dec 31 2009 or lose them???? That makes no sense. Ifthats the case and people need some to make their $200 mark id be more than happy to sell u any or all my bucks.

I have not entered them on line yet- so they should work for you

pm me if interested and or please answer my question. Thanks

I do believe that ALL income is taxable and is "required" to be reported to the IRS come tax time.

Just because Atlantic does not report it until they pay you $600 does not relieve you of the responsibility to claim it.

Ditto on that. All income should be reported. Just because you don't get a 1099, does not mean if you were ever audited (God forbid) they wouldn't find out.
