Yes, another netjets question

I was wondering how Netjets and Flexjet reacted after 9/11 in terms of pilot hiring? I’m sure hiring slowed tremendously or probably stopped, but were there any furloughs in either airline?? Any info on this is welcomed.

NetJets has never furloughed a pilot. Not even after 9/11.

Actually we did furlough once in the late 80's-early 90's. After 9/11 business actually picked up for a while. NetJets was the only fractional 100% part 135 on 9/11. When the flying ban was lifted for 121/135 operators, NetJets went back to work. Most of the other fracs operated on a limited basis, if at all.

There were hundreds of pilots hired at NetJets between 9/11 and early 2002.

Flexjet furloughed shortly after 9/11. I don't think it was until spring of 2002, but it happened.
