Any more word on recalls since that last thread that got closed?
How are things looking there?

No word on further recalls right now. It is much busier since I was furloughed. There's a possibility of a couple of new airframes coming to the property, so me and my fellow curb-mates are really hoping that will spur another recall.

Any new info??

All,

Just looking to see if there is any new info floating around out there about growth or just the "state of the union" at CitationAir. Anything on any recalls of some of the guys still hanging in there..

Cheers

I'd love to hear myself...anyone??

EXTW 05-19-2010 07:49 PM

Nothing new to report from the "front lines". Sorry.:(

Are there still guys on furlough? If so, how many?

Part135 Guy 05-24-2010 09:43 AM

A total of 100 pilots have been removed from the property. The actual furlough count was 85 after VLOAs, Early Retirements, etc. They recalled a group of 16 last November, so the current counts stands at 69 furloughed pilots. There were a handful who deferred the first recall and I'm sure there will be more who defer future recalls. It's been almost a year and a half since the first wave of furloughs happened and I'm sure that other guys have found other jobs (I pray anyway) by now and will continue to defer as long as they can.

To all my fellow CS (now CA) furloughees.... I hope you are all doing well.

Bill Lumberg 05-24-2010 10:23 AM

Good luck to the furloughees. Any word on whether you guys will upgrade the CJ3 to the CJ4????

jtf560 05-26-2010 06:29 AM

While I don't work there, I would have to guess that it is much more likely to add the CJ4 than to figure out a way out of all the established contacts for the CJ3 and also figuring out how to sell the ones on property for a reasonable rate and time frame. Maybe if things turn around for the economy to where even used aircraft are selling fast and at good prices, but that time isn't anytime soon. This is NetJets biggest problem right now- over 100 airframes more than they want, but unable to sell them quickly- even at ridiculously low prices. Anyway, good luck everybody.

Is this the same company that used to be called CitationShares? A lot of uglyness is going on in the fractional companies these days. It's sad. They're almost like miniature airlines and apparently with all the crap that goes with them.
