CitationAir Unionizing

IBT representation of pilots isn't going to "break the back" of Textron, Cessna Aircraft Company, or CitationAir; suggestions of such are nonsense.
ICT has been unionized for YEARS...collective bargaining ain't uncharted territory for Cessna.

How am I buying into their propoganda? I just explained to you why they're in such a bad place. I never bought into that crap that they were selling. In fact, getting laid off during the exodus was the best career blessing I've had thus far. Everyone knows that it's been awful for years over there...whether it's 1% or 100% of the problem, the IBT will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
You really swear that I'm management - that's hilarious and sad at the same time. I'll be happy to PM you my information so that you can see for yourself. Not sure if my PM's work with my low post count, but let me know.

Major re-organization in upper management, lots of high-ups are out including SO, and I'm positive that there will be more cuts/re-org coming at the "mothership."
Pure Speculation:
If I were a betting man, I'd predict a consolidation to Wichita for operations with a fresh batch of folks...Cessna most likely won't cover relocation for most folks (except the few that need to come with them to train newbies, etc).
Cessna is in bigger trouble than they're leading-on. It'll be interesting to watch.

With Cessna acquiring more of us over the years, one could certainly see that one day we would be more or less merged. This was likely to happen regardless of the union vote outcome.
In addition, SO stated a couple times in his letter that there are NO plans to leave Greenwich (as always that's subject to change).

With all due respect, I don't think you were close at all. To me you came across as implying the union would cause the company to fold. There is simply zero evidence, or even a hint of suggestion that is the case.

How did the union get elected if a majority of CitationAir pilots "did not want a union"?
This in itself is enough for folks to believe the company could fold and restructure without the union folks.
Textron ain't going to close down their company and dump a whole bunch more fairly new used airframes onto the market, when Cessna is already having enough trouble selling factory new airframes as-is.
Textron also wouldn't go through all the expense & legal wrangling of shutting down then reopening under a new moniker, just to bust a pilot union.
A pilot union isn't going to financially break CitationAir, Cessna, or Textron...the suggestion of such is frankly ludicrous.
